- January 8 – Tatum Hentemann was born.
- January 22 – Billy May died.

- February 27 - An IGN interview with Seth MacFarlane comes out, where he confirmed after rumors of Family Guy being revived were true and that the series would resume production.

- March 26 - Fox Broadcasting Company officially announces that it had committed to producing at least twenty-two more episodes of Family Guy for broadcast in early 2005.

- April 22 - The outline for "Bango Was His Name Oh!", under the working title "Bango" is made.
- April 26 - The outline for "Stewie B. Goode", the formerly "Queer Is Stewie?", is made, revising the original concept to become more in line to what is in the final episode.
- April 28 - The outline for "The Cleveland–Loretta Quagmire", under the working title "Raging Cleveland" is revised.
