The Happy-Go-Lucky Toy Factory was the toy company owned by the late Jonathan Weed for most of its 23-year history. Peter Griffin used to work as an assembly grunt for a long time, being there since 1977 as revealed in "One if by Clam, Two if by Sea", and worked there until he lost his job in "Mr. Saturday Knight" when Mr. Weed died and ordered the building to be shut down.

The company debuted in "Death Has a Shadow", where it established to be Peter's line of employment, where he worked as an assembly grunt to inspect for toys. After a late night of drinking, he falls asleep at work the next day, allowing extremely dangerous toys to be boxed and released. The company receives bad press for this and Peter is fired but eventually gets his job back.

In the table draft for "A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas" - which in production order takes place before "Mr. Saturday Knight", hence it's placement here between seasons 2 and 3 - Mr. Weed made the workers work double shifts for a whole month in preparation for the Christmas holiday. An annoyed Peter tacks up a picture of his smushed face against glass on Mr. Weed's office door as a little smug payback.
