Ukraine is a country in Europe. It was previously part of the Soviet Union.
History[edit | edit source]
Lois Griffin once faced a Ukrainian competitor in a boxing match. During the bout, Lois attempted to speak to the boxer, but Peter informed Lois that her opponent was from Ukraine and did not speak English. When Lois began speaking Ukrainian, Peter remarked that the boxer was from "the other part" of Ukraine and that she spoke a different dialect. Later, Joe Swanson asked Peter if he was aware of Ukraine's existence because of the globe he had bought him. After Peter denied this and stated he read about Ukraine in a book, Joe replied: "You knew 'cause of my globe, you dick."[1]
Stewie's mail-order bride, Zlata, is from Ukraine. She once remarked: "In my country, everyone I know blows up."[2]
Stewie initially opposed traveling to Russia with Brian and Meg due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.[3]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Mila Kunis, the voice of Meg Griffin, was born in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi.
- Joe, Peter and Stewie all incorrectly referred to the country as "the Ukraine".[4]
