Lacey Nicole Chabert (born September 30, 1982) is an American actress, voice actress and singer. She was the original voice of Meg Griffin during the first production season of Family Guy, with some of those episodes airing during the second season. Around March 1999 (or presumably early), Chabert decided to leave as the voice of Meg due to having bigger projects and school work,[1] and was replaced by Mila Kunis.

- Due to contractual restrictions, Chabert could not be credited with her work on the show. Leaving her uncredited for her work during the first production season, as well as in the tenth season episode "Back to the Pilot", which used archive recording of Chabert as Meg. She was eventually credited for providing at least one of Meg's lines in the eleventh season episode "Yug Ylimaf".
- Chabert was originally going to voice Meg in "There's Something About Paulie", even recording voicework for the character, but due to the episode undergoing troubled production delays, her replacement Mila Kunis re-dubbed Chabert's lines.
